

My training philosophy is to instruct, motivate, and create a safe training environment for my clients. I found my love for sports at the age of five when I joined my first soccer team and continued to excel in other sports such as baseball, tennis, and varsity golf. As an adult I made a commitment to living a healthy and active lifestyle by being an avid wakeboarder, learning Krav Maga, and joining the CrossFit community. Over the years I have had the opportunity to learn various training methods that will help any individual reach their desired fitness goals. I learned how important mid-line stabilization (core strength), power, speed, balance, and flexibility are to controlling the body in all three planes of motion. I incorporate metabolic conditioning, plyometrics, Olympic weightlifting, and various body weight exercises to reduce body fat and create a body that will be resistant to injury. My thorough physical assessment of my clients allow me to not only create individualized workout plans, but also corrective exercise techniques that will strengthen my client’s kinetic chain. Think of the body’s kinetic chain as being similar to the foundation of a house or large building. You can construct the house with a weak foundation and it might last a couple years, but eventually it will not be able to withstand the elements of nature and crumble to the ground. That is why it is important to use specific training methods to help prevent muscle-imbalances, joint dysfunctions, and increase flexibility. I have held a career in the technology field, but quite a few people have come to me for advice on nutrition, exercise technique, and weight loss. This lead me to pursue my passion of fitness and I obtained my certification from The National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have excelled in the fitness industry with my ability to motivate, patience to work with all personality types, and the knowledge to make sure my client’s train beyond their perceived potential. I have worked with all types of people including goal driven athletes, fitness minded individuals, and baby boomers who want to keep up with their grand kids. My mission is to provide encouragement, program variety, and to challenge your abilities in ways you never thought were possible.
